ENSO is a humidor (cigar case) adorned with Aji Stone—a type of granite from Kagawa, Japan—known as the most luxurious stone in the world. Showcasing the stone’s weighty presence and natural texture, each piece is crafted to serve as an eye-catching accent in cigar lounges or personal spaces, like a sculptural object.
Designed under the concept of “a humidor to be enjoyed with the eyes,” ENSO is compact enough to sit gracefully on a desktop or tabletop in a study or cigar room, yet it is capable of storing and maintaining up to 11 cigars.
『ENSO（エンソ）』は、世界一高級な石材として知られる香川県（日本）の花崗岩『庵治石（あじいし）』で装飾されたヒュミドール（葉巻入れ）です。石が持つ重厚さと天然のテクスチャの美しさを外装に活かし、一つの石塊がオブジェのように葉巻を楽しむ空間のアクセントとなります。
「目で楽しむヒュミドール」をコンセプトにした『ENSO』は、書斎やシガールームのデスクトップ・テーブルトップに置いて使えるよう、コンパクトに設計されていますが、最大11本の葉巻を管理することができます。

ENSO is crafted from Aji-stone, a rare granite quarried in Takamatsu, Kagawa. With its tightly bonded fine minerals, Aji-stone is highly durable and allows for precise, delicate craftsmanship.
While ideal for detailed work, Aji-stone often contains tiny internal cracks, requiring expert selection and handling. Over centuries, its production area developed a unique system of divided labor—where the entire town works together like a single, specialized workshop.
Each ENSO piece is made from carefully selected stone, finished by hand to highlight its natural beauty.

石は、香川県高松市で採石される花崗岩『庵治石』です。 庵治石は微細な鉱物が緻密に結合しており、堅牢で耐久力が高く、細やかな加工・表現を可能にしています。そのため、永く精微な形状を留め置くことのできる素材として、墓石材や彫刻材として高く評価されています。
素材として高いポテンシャルを持つ庵治石ですが、キズ（割れの原因となり得るごく微細なクラック）が多い石でもあるため、その採石や加工には石を見極める目と高度な技量が求められます。そのため庵治石の産地では数百年続く長い歴史の間に各工程が分業化され、町全体が一つの工場のように機能し、一つの製品が生み出されています。 この製品に用いられる庵治石も、そうした職人たちが厳選し、庵治石が持つ美しさを損なわないよう一つ一つ手仕事で仕上げています。

Kude: The Beauty Woven from Delicate Craftsmanship / 繊細さが織りなす美
The cabinet is shaped using Kude-craft, a traditional Japanese woodworking technique from Kagawa. It features interlocking geometric patterns made without nails—a method brought to Japan with Buddhism in the 6th century and passed down through generations. In Kagawa, it survives as kude shoji, a designated traditional craft.
While softwoods are common, walnut was chosen here to preserve cigar aromas and match the stone’s gravitas.
The design features the Kagome-mon, a hexagonal pattern believed to ward off evil.
キャビネット部にも庵治石と同様、香川の工芸技術が用いられています。組手（あるいは組手細工）と呼ばれる木工技術で、釘を使わずに木を幾何学的な文様に組み付ける点が特徴です。 6世紀半ばに仏教と共に伝わった寺院建築の技術が日本で発展し、香川県では、組手障子という形で香川県の伝統的工芸品に指定されています。
組手には一般的に杉やヒノキが用いられますが、この製品では葉巻の香りを損なわないことと、庵治石の重厚な質感との調和を考慮してウォールナット材を選択しています。
多彩な紋様にはそれぞれに寓意が込められており、この製品に用いている紋様は『籠目』と呼ばれており、日本では古来より邪気を祓う魔除けの紋様として用いられています。
